Welcome to my immersion home page

My name is Salim Al Waaili. I am from Oman. It is a very nice place to visit. People are very friendly and hospitable. Oman is located in the gulf peninsula. It has mountains, valleys, sand beaches –with a coastline that is more than 3,165 km-, farms, and deserts. You can enjoy camping in the desert where you can see the stars with the moon away from the cities. There are lots of things you can see and do in Oman.

I graduated from Sultan Qaboos University with a Bachelor degree in Education majoring in the English language. Now, I work as a n instructional designer at the same university. We try here to help teachers using the most recent technologies in enhancing their teaching and learning. Our main focus is elearning. We try our best to encourge teachers to use the best practices in teaching and learning to accomplish their instructional goals. It is a very diffcult task but we do our best.

I am very gald that I am now doing my masters degree in George Mason University (GMU) in the IDD immersion program which is one of the most outstanding program in the USA.
